"1st Chicago Apartment Rentals is also called The Schirm Firm. My husband and I have rented from them for a few years now. ... Our building manager, Branco, is extremely responsive and very nice. Branco keeps the grass and landscaping looking beautiful. During the winter, he's on top of the snow removal and putting down a lot of salt to prevent ice. He puts up notices when they are going to do their quarterly pest checks or annual water heater cleanings or any other kind of building service. He'll even help put in your a/c, if needed. We LOVE our apartment and Branco. The price is extremely affordable and in a great neighborhood (Ravenswood).

We're Flower and Eco-Friendly

Each May, we plant beautiful flowers around each of our buildings (for tenants to enjoy through spring, summer and fall) and we now use organic lawn fertilizer for our Chicago building lawns whenever possible! We've also just switched over to "single-stream" recycling containers (which are picked up by special Recycling trucks each week) at all of our Chicago buildings, which will complement the front and back hallway light photocell timers, energy-efficient boilers and hot water tanks, thermopane window installations, reflective roof coatings and the energy-saving front and back hallway (and apartment kitchen) fluorescent light fixtures we've been using for several years now!
